The Chattanooga Tabletop Revue
Community Standards & Code of Conduct
Effective date: 7.1.25| Version 1.0 | Approved by the Board of Directors
1. Purpose and Commitment
The Chattanooga Tabletop Revue exists to serve our mission and the people who make our community what it is. We are committed to maintaining a welcoming, respectful environment where every person — regardless of background, belief, service history, or identity — is treated with dignity and feels they belong.
This policy sets clear, consistent expectations for how we treat one another. It is written to protect the whole community and to be applied evenly to everyone, in the same way, based on conduct and its impact rather than on any particular viewpoint, affiliation, or group. Upholding these standards is a shared responsibility, and living up to them is what allows our community to stay open, trusting, and strong.
2. Who and What This Policy Covers
This policy applies to everyone connected to the organization and to all of the spaces we operate, including:
Board members, officers, employees, interns, and contractors;
Volunteers, members, program participants, and guests;
Our online spaces — websites, social media accounts, comment sections, group chats, email lists, and any digital community we host or moderate; and
Our in-person spaces — events, meetings, facilities, and any activity conducted in the organization's name.
It applies whenever a person is acting as part of our community or in a way that a reasonable observer would connect to the organization.
3. Our Community Standards
We ask everyone in our community to:
Treat others with respect, courtesy, and good faith, even in disagreement;
Assume the best of one another and resolve differences honestly and directly;
Make room for people whose backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences differ from your own; and
Take responsibility for the impact of your words, images, and actions on the people around you.
4. Conduct That Is Not Permitted
The following conduct is prohibited in all of our spaces and in any activity conducted in the organization's name. This list gives examples; it is not exhaustive.
4.1 Harassment and Bullying
Unwelcome conduct — verbal, written, visual, or physical — that a reasonable person would find intimidating, hostile, degrading, or abusive. This includes threats, slurs, sustained personal attacks, stalking, and encouraging others to engage in such conduct.
4.2 Hate Speech and Discrimination
Speech, imagery, or conduct that attacks, demeans, dehumanizes, or incites hostility or violence against a person or group because of a protected characteristic — including race, color, national origin, ethnicity, ancestry, religion, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
4.3 Threats, Intimidation, and Violence
Threats of harm, incitement to violence, glorification of violence against others, and any conduct intended to make another person fear for their safety.
4.4 Content, Imagery, and Symbols
Our standards apply to images, symbols, apparel, logos, usernames, and other visual content in the same way they apply to words. Content is evaluated by its impact and the way it is used — not by which group or viewpoint it is associated with. Visual content is not permitted in our spaces when a reasonable person would understand it, in context, to threaten, harass, demean, or incite hostility toward others on the basis of a protected characteristic.
We recognize that a symbol or image can carry very different meanings depending on who is using it and why. The organization does not maintain a list of banned symbols and does not judge people by affiliation, service history, or personal expression. We look instead at conduct and its effect on the community, applying the same reasonable-person standard to everyone. Where a piece of content is ambiguous, we will seek to understand the intent and context before acting, and we favor conversation over penalty wherever that is appropriate.
4.5 Official Organizational Materials
Content that the organization creates, publishes, or displays under its own name — logos, branding, event materials, official social media posts, and similar — is kept neutral and welcoming so that it represents the entire community. This standard governs the organization's own voice and is separate from how we treat the personal expression of individuals in our spaces.
5. Online Community and Social Media
Our online spaces are an extension of our community, and the same standards apply there. Moderators may remove content that violates this policy, issue warnings, and restrict or remove access for repeated or serious violations. Where practical, moderators will explain the reason for a removal and, when appropriate, give the person an opportunity to adjust their conduct. Moderation decisions are made on the basis of this policy and applied consistently.
6. Reporting a Concern
If you experience or witness conduct that may violate this policy, please report it. You can raise a concern by:
Contacting a designated staff member, moderator, or board contact: Cierra@ChattanoogaTabletopRevue.com ;
Emailing our confidential reporting address: Report@ChattanoogaTabletopRevue.com ; or
Speaking with any officer or board member you trust.
Reports are handled as confidentially as possible, consistent with the need to investigate and respond. You may report anonymously, though anonymous reports can be harder to investigate fully. In an emergency or where anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
7. How Concerns Are Handled
We take every report seriously and respond promptly, fairly, and consistently. Our general process is:
Acknowledge the report and confirm who will handle it;
Review the facts, gather relevant information, and give the person involved a fair opportunity to respond;
Determine whether this policy was violated, based on conduct and its impact; and
Decide on an appropriate, proportionate response and document the outcome.
Depending on the seriousness of the conduct, the frequency, and the surrounding context, responses may range from an informal conversation or a request to remove content, to a formal warning, to removal from an event, suspension, or removal from the community, employment, or the board. We aim to be corrective and educational first where the situation allows, and we reserve firmer measures for serious or repeated violations. Records of reports and outcomes are maintained to support consistent, fair enforcement.
8. No Retaliation
No one may retaliate against a person for raising a concern in good faith, for participating in an investigation, or for declining to take part in conduct that would violate this policy. Retaliation is itself a violation of this policy and will be addressed accordingly. Good-faith reporting is protected even if the concern is ultimately not substantiated; knowingly false or bad-faith reports are not.
9. Responsibilities
The Board of Directors is responsible for adopting and periodically reviewing this policy. Leadership and designated staff or moderators are responsible for communicating it, applying it consistently, and handling reports. Every member of the community is responsible for understanding these standards and helping to uphold them.
Our mission
We're on a mission to change the way the housing market works. Rather than offering one service or another, we want to combine as many and make our clients' lives easy and carefree. Our goal is to match our clients with the perfect properties that fit their tastes, needs, and budgets.
Our vision
We want to live in a world where people can buy homes that match their needs rather than having to find a compromise and settle on the second-best option. That's why we take a lot of time and care in getting to know our clients from the moment they reach out to us and ask for our help.
Our team
Our strength lies in our individuality. Set up by Esther Bryce, the team strives to bring in the best talent in various fields, from architecture to interior design and sales.
